Dan Kelly - Founder/President

Mr. Kelly is the founder the Visualworld technology.  He has provided the technological vision and innovation behind the product.

Mr. Kelly founded the company as a part-time consulting venture and commenced full-time operations in 1993. Mr.Kelly has spent over 25 years in systems design, programming and business re-engineering activities. His background includes machine and assembly language programming on PDP-8, writing BIOS routines, Mainframe, IBM, COBOL and PL/1, microcomputer systems, LANs and Internet systems, HTML and XML.

Mr. Kelly's industry enterprise application experience includes banking, credit card issue control systems, services, legal, wholesale distribution, health care, document storage and retrieval systems for the nuclear power industry, video indexing systems for CBS and NBC, manufacturing, logistics management and telecommunications, among others.

Mr. Kelly has spent most of his professional life implementing the latest technologies in business environments. As one of the primary designers of Visualworld, Mr. Kelly brings many years of practical experience to the company in the area of business automation.

Peter Evans - Senior Software Developer

Mr. Evans has over 15 years of experience in software development for various start-ups and small companies. Specifically, Mr. Evan's extensive tool and system experience includes InTouch, and Visualworld as well as Prime Information, PICK, Revelation, Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, Java Script, HTML, XML, ASP, Assembler, Prime, General Automation, NCR, IBM X86, Novell, and Microsoft NT.

While working for Visualworld, he has developed systems for a wide variety of customers including engineering firms, Pacific Bell, University of California, the National Association of Realtors, World Airways, healthcare systems, and many other large corporate customers. Mr. Evans holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of California.

Bruce Perry - Senior Software Developer

Mr. Perry was the primary state machine layer programmer and multi-tasking monitor programmer for Visualworld and has over 25 years experience at every level of the evolution of computers. His extensive knowledge and background include major business systems development for companies such as Lockheed, Varian, Datagraphics, the Institute for Nuclear Power, the Los Angles Times, Westinghouse and several large banks.

Mr. Perry has worked as a developer, lead project teams and designed systems for manufacturing, utility billing, image retrieval systems using tools like IBM DB2, MVS, OS/DOS, Pick, Prime Computers, NCR, and languages including COBOL, PL/1, FORTRAN, Basic, Visual Basic, IBM Assembler, Pick Basic and others. Bruce was technically trained by IBM JAD. Mr. Perry received a B.S. in Mathematics from California Polytechnic University at San Luis Ibispo.

Paul Perez - Director of Software Development

Paul has held key engineering roles with start ups in the enterprise space with a focus on product innovation and customer experience. Paul's experience with a broad set of technologies and unique background in the enterprise space come together to offer a new perspective on traditional ways of doing business and building software to support business. He has managed large scale development projects covering all software engineering disciplines.

Among other things, Paul is responsible for enhancing the Visual World Virtual Machine, incorporating standards based technologies into the application, as well as exploring and integrating new and emerging technologies into the platform.

Paul has been working in front of a computer since 1984, at the age of 8. He graduated with a degree in software engineering from University of California, Santa Cruz in 2000.

R. C. "Bud" Broomhead, Jr. - Board of Advisors

Bud is responsible for formulating new technologies and executing new businesses for the Network Storage division at Sun in Santa Clara, California. He arrived at Sun via the sale of HighGround Systems, Inc. in April 2001, where Bud was founder, EVP & Chief Operating Officer.

HighGround pioneered and was the market-maker for network Storage Resource Management software. Before joining HighGround, Bud was the General Manager of Europe, Middle East, and Africa for Auspex Systems, Inc., a leading provider of high-performance Network Attached Storage servers.

Prior to joining Auspex, Bud was the Director of Sales for Epoch Systems, the market leader in network storage management for Unix computers before its acquisition by EMC in 1993. In addition, Bud has 10 years experience in software design and development.

Marty Browne - Technical Board of Advisors

Mr. Browne brings over 25 years of experience developing and managing software development organizations. Marty was a founding member of the ASK Group and is known as the father of MANMAN, the very successful manufacturing and financial application developed and marketed by ASK.

Following 20 years as Vice President of Research and Development at ASK, Mr. Browne was Vice President of Business Applications for StarBase Corporation. He was also the Vice president of Engineering for Calico Commerce, a leading supplier of web-based sales and configuration systems.

Recently, Mr. Browne founded Skyline Technology Ventures (SVT) which specializes in helping and advising early-stage software companies in a variety of ways, from investment, engineering personnel, and software tools. Marty has a BS from Stanford University.

David C. Tryon - Technical Board of Advisors

Dave Tryon had spent over twenty-five years in application software development within the Telecommunications industry. At the time of his retirement, he was the Principal Architect for Information Resource Management for Pacific Bell focusing on WEB-based application development, database design, deductive computing, and the deployment of software development methodologies.

Since 1987, his research efforts focused on the synthesis of structured systems planning, development methodologies, and data analysis / modeling techniques to form sound and integrated system specification models for application development. During this period, Mr. Tryon collaborated with Bellcore and MCC on the use of integrated models to develop executable specifications for deductive computing and object-based environments.

He participated in the resident affiliate program at the Software Engineering Institute in 1992 applying integrated modeling techniques to the development of workflow models for Level 2 focus areas of the Capability Maturity Model. Over the years, he has authored a number of articles on semantic and deductive database development, entity-relationship modeling, systems planning methods, and multiple model integration.

David G. Harrington - Technical Board of Advisors

David Harrington has over 20 years experience in Software Engineering, Operations, Strategy Development and Technology Marketing. His career spans software development, Internet and Web development and enterprise applications. In addition he has consulted with a number of start up companies in the newspaper, financial, manufacturing and software industries. He specializes is the delivery of high-quality "whole product" solutions.

Most recently, he was CIO for the Medic Alert Foundation. Mr. Harrington started his career as a programmer, project leader, and section manager at Rand Information Systems in San Francisco. He served as Director of International Software Development for Motorola, Inc. in Cork, Ireland and Cupertino, CA. He was also Vice President of Engineering at Unify Corporation and later served as Director of Technical Marketing at Ross Systems.

His startup experience includes Vice President of Engineering at Versata, Inc. (Vision Software Tools) and VP of Customer Service/CIO at Halcyon Software in San Jose. Mr. Harrington is a graduate of the University of Kansas, where he majored in Mathematics and Journalism.

David Palmer - Technical Board of Advisors

David Palmer is an experienced management consultant, executive, educator, and seasoned platform speaker. His expertise in the areas of marketing, organizational development, finance, and research offers Customer Manufacturing Group clients over twenty years of business experience in both industrial and professional service settings.

He has worked with companies across a wide range of industries to improve their understanding of their Environmental Influences, Customer/Solution Definitions, Demand Management and Value Delivery systems. His clients have included Pacific Gas & Electric, General Motors Pontiac Division, Motorola, Nike, Pacific Bell, Toyota, and Hewlett-Packard.

Mr. Palmer holds a degree in Economics from Claremont McKenna College, an M.B.A. and M.S. from the Wharton Graduate School at the University of Pennsylvania, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Management from the Peter F. Drucker Management School at Claremont Graduate University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and teaches in the M.B.A. program at Santa Clara University.

Chris Bremser - Technical Board of Advisors

Christian Bremser has over 20 years of experience leading software development teams at various high-technology companies.

He has been developing with and for the Internet since 1985, in both shrink-wrap and web-delivered environments, and has played a key role in designing, developing, and delivering world-class innovative products and services in the Internet, CAD, and graphics industries.

Mr. Bremser grew and managed successful software development organizations at H-P, DEC, and Computervision, and was responsible for core technology at Autodesk; he has also led the software development for several technology startups across a wide spectrum of markets.

He has broad experience managing multiple complex software projects across multiple sites, including development partners in Europe and India, and has in-depth experience with Internet and component technologies, high-end computer graphics and modeling, and collaborative development and eLearning environments.

Mr. Bremser was most recently VP of Engineering at Coursenet Systems (now Peer3), where he grew the development organization from scratch, produced the first XML-based suite of software for authoring and deploying web-based training, and was instrumental in the sale of the company to Technology Solutions Company.

Christopher Heiser - Technical Board of Advisors

Christopher Heiser has been involved with high-tech startups for his entire professional career. He founded TeleGlobal Media, an Internet consulting firm, while still attending Carnegie Mellon University. This began his involvement with many startup companies in both a founding and advisory role.

He served as a Media Architect at VisionFoundry, an Internet solutions provider located in Washington DC, where he designed and implemented enterprise systems for prestigious clients such as the Metropolitan Opera. He was a technical lead for the Enso Corporation, an Internet-based distance learning startup also located in DC.

He worked as consultant to Neva, an engineering startup specializing in carbon fiber and composite components for automotive racing. As an Internet Architect at IDEO Product Development, an international design firm headquartered in Palo Alto, he developed new ways for the highly innovative company to use Internet technologies to better serve clients, as well as streamline internal processes.

He has consulted for several startups in the San Francisco Bay area at very early stages of development, with an emphasis on technical feasibility and systems architecture. He worked closely with the founding team of The Web Outlet, a Sacramento-based web development company.

Opportunities with members of that founding group led Christopher to co-found 122 Ventures, a firm which focuses on the evaluation, management, and tuning of early-stage companies with an emphasis on the venture funding cycle.
